Gegenlicht Design is an association of economically independent gaffers and lighting technician. With this online offer including the linked social media platforms (hereinafter “online offer”) we want you and others inform about our activities and provide contact information to the individual crew members. Definitions of the terms used can be found in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), art. 4.

What rights do you have

You have the right to know what data we process and store from you and a copy of that data. (art. 15 GDPR) We, as the operator of the website “www.gegenlichtdesign.de” store no personal data. Our webhosting provider “Strato” stores so-called log files (see below). This data can only be viewed in anonymous form by us. If you wish to receive information about this data, we will assist you as part of our legal, economic, organizational and technical capabilities.
Since we do not store personal data about you, your right of completion, correction (art. 16 GDPR), deletion (art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (art. 18 GDPR) and transmission to other responsible persons (art. 20 GDPR ), only the data that our web hosting provider “Strato” and the social media platforms “Facebook” and “Instagram” on which we are active to save. If you wish to avail yourself of these rights, we will assist you as part of our legal, economic, organizational and technical capabilities.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. (art. 77 GDPR)

What personal data we collect and process

Access data and log files

We or our hosting provider (“Strato”) collects and processes the meta- and communication data of the users of our online service in order to use it safely and efficiently. (art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR in conjunction with art. 28 GDPR)
These meta- and communication data of the users are:
-name of the retrieved web page
-file
-date and time of retrieval
-transmitted amount of data
-message about successful retrieval
-browser type and version
-operating system of the user
-referrer URL (the previously visited page)
-IP address
-inquiring provider
This information is stored for security purposes (for example, to investigate abusive or fraudulent activities) for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further retention is required for evidential purposes shall be exempted from the cancellation until final clarification of the incident. The further processing of this data by our hosting provider (“Strato”) is based on a so-called “order processing contract” in accordance with art. 28 GDPR.

Social media platforms

On our online presences on Facebook and Instagram, which are accessible via hyperlinks from this website, we would like to communicate with partners, colleagues and interested parties. When calling Facebook or Instagram, the terms and conditions and the data processing guidelines of the respective operators apply.

Integration of services and contents of third parties

In order to be able to operate this website sensibly and economically (integration of videos), we use the content and services of third parties. (art. 6 (1) lit. GDPR) Third party (e.g. Vimeo, Youtube) may collect data about you, set and read cookies, embed third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with the embedded content. Embedded content from other websites behave exactly as if you had visited the other website.

We include videos of the platform “Vimeo”.

By using the WordPress plugin “Youtube Lyte” your data will not be transferred to Youtube until you click on a video. Youtube then also sets one or more cookies. To prevent this, you can log out of Youtube and delete the corresponding cookie from Youtube before you visit our “Blog” page.

Google Analytics

Our website does not use user data analysis services (such as “Google Analytics”). The offers of third parties we provide (video links to Vimeo, Youtube etc.) can do this, however. Inform yourself about the handling of your data and the opt-out possibilities.

Cookies

These small files, which are stored on the computers of the users of most websites, can be very helpful and useful, but can also be used for marketing purposes that you may not approve of. Our website itself does not use cookies. However, when you visit our blog page, the embedded videos send requests to the respective platform, whereupon cookies are stored on your computer. For Youtube videos, this happens only when you play the video, but at Vimeo immediately when you visit a blog page that contains a Vimeo link. Our appearances on Facebook and Instagramm also use cookies. You can refuse cookies by setting your browser accordingly. In the settings of your browser you can delete already stored cookies. How we protect your data

Taking into account our possibilities (costs, state of the art), we make our online services available to our legitimate interests (art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in conjunction with art. 28 GDPR) and the probabilities of rights and freedoms of natural persons to violate or endanger, appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure adequate protection of their data.
